Ann Marie Bashista (Godin, Caple, Buell), 76, of Halfmoon, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 6, 2022. She passed peacefully at her home with family by her side. The daughter of the late Paul and Sybil (Myott) Godin, Ann Marie was born on May 4, 1946, in Richford VT. Ann had a successful career in Hospice in several different positions as a caregiver and facilitator. She retired from Volusia Flagler County Hospice before returning to upstate NY. Ann spent her retirement becoming a master quilter, reading, gardening, and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband Charles “Bill” Bashista with whom she recently celebrated 19 years of marriage, her brother Bruce (Elizabeth) Barse of Binghamton NY, her son Christopher (Lynn) Caple of Barre VT, her son Paul (Angela) Caple of Myrtle Beach SC, and her daughter Joy (Caple) Wilkes (Gerald) of Halfmoon, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Fresenius Kidney Care, The National Kidney Foundation or Umbrella of the Capital District would be greatly appreciated. Cremation took place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. The family is planning a private graveside service in Memory Gardens, Colonie. formerly Ann Godin Caple spent many years in the Wingdale, Dover Plains area and is a 1962 graduate of Dover High School.
