Obituary
Susanna M. Churton, 91, passed away on August 29, 2022, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born on July 26, 1931, in Sharon, Connecticut. The daughter of James and Susanne (Jones) Farley. Susanna and her late husband, Robert were partners in Windy View Farm in Pine Plains where they enjoyed horse farming, showing, and racing. They also owned and operated Churton Store in Bangall for over 50 years. Susanna is survived by her two sons; Mark (Rosemary Fazzina) & Robert Churton. Eight grandchildren, Vincent, Casey, Brittany and Rebecca Sue Churton, Alexis Lee (Matthew) Riley, Bobbie (Ariel) Schline, Susanna (David DeNardis) Churton, and Jessica (Bill Strang) Churton. Her great-grandchildren Dominick, Collin, Aiden, Addison, Axton, Giacomo, Tristin, Lincoln, Milana, Novalee, Blaze DeNardis and Haley & Zachary Strang. In addition, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert N. Churton, sons, Farley Fredrick Churton, Steven Allen Churton. Her grandson Issac Churton, her brother James Farley, and sisters, Mary Hiserodt and Helen Willig. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Stanford Cemetery, Stanfordville. Donations in Susanna’s memory may be made to the Pine Plains Rescue Squad, P.O.
