Obituary, Anthony Pancione

Anthony Pancione, 75, passed away quietly at home on Thursday, August 25, 2022.

A resident of Pawling, NY since 1978, he was formerly from the Bronx where he was born and raised, attending DeWitt Clinton High School located in the North Bronx.  Born on August 7, 1947, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Josephine (Perelli) Pancione.  On December 2, 1967, he married the love of his life and childhood sweetheart Elda Bochicchio also from the Bronx at Our Lady of Pity Church; she survives at home.

Before he retired, he was a salesman for Stroehmann Bakery, Inc of Bronx, Mount Vernon, and Yonkers.

Anthony was a devoted Catholic and communicant of St. John’s Church, a past member of Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Italian-American Club in Danbury, Ct.  More recently since retirement he worked at Dutchess Auto Body of Pawling which he loved every moment and all his co- workers!  But most of all he loved his family, adored his wife, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren..

Anthony would and could “talk to anybody about anything” they chose to talk about.  If you needed any help he was your man! He would keep any secrets you wished and boy so good at that.  He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

In addition to his wife, Elda, he is survived by his two daughters, Adele Ann McGreal and husband Frank of Pawling and Lisa Marie Butler and husband Bill of Wingdale; 6 grandchildren, Lauren Adele, Aislinn Grace Brady and husband Zachary Brady of NC, Francis Anthony, Billy James  Jr, Troy Nicholas, and Natalie Holly, and great-grandson Nixon James Brady; three nieces and many nephews; and many close friends from childhood.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his two brothers, Daniel and Joseph Pancione.
