The Elected Artists Show will be running from July 31st – August 21st from 1-5. Participating artists include: John Berube, Terry Tougas, Shawn Sullivan, Charles Schmauch, Judy Cantwell, Mary Ann Carley, Judith Beringer Hraniotis, as well as newly elected members Joan Macfarlane, Gerry Sacks, and Amanda Lynne.

The Member’s Show is featuring the works by MJ Budzyn, Michaela Penna, Brendan McNamara, and Merrill French.

Our Solo Show artist this year is Charles Schmauch, Best in Show winner in last year’s Elected Artist Show. Charles started painting watercolor about 40 years ago strictly as a hobby, with over the past 7 years being the most active. “I chose watercolor because, to me, it is the most exciting, spontaneous, unforgiving and challenging art media.” Please come by the gallery and see this beautiful watercolor artwork by award winning artist Charles Schmauch!

The monthly coffee talk to be held Saturday, August 13th at 10:00 and will be about how to properly ready art works for hanging and preparing works for entry into shows. Admission to the Kent Art Association is always free and is open Thursday through Sunday 1:00-5:00.
