Robert Joseph Chasse passed away early Saturday morning, August 6, 2022, at Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Holmes, NY at the age of 90.
A long-time resident of Carmel, NY and later Pawling, NY, he was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, born on November 6, 1931 to Evangelist and Aldora (Bellemare) Chasse.
Mr. Chasse was a self-employed carpentry tradesman for many years,
He was a passionate Mets and Rangers fan, and he loved playing cards with his family, golfing, gardening, and all kinds of video and board games.
Survivors include his three children, daughter Diane Ferris and spouse Kevin of Poughkeepsie, son Mario Chasse and spouse Ella of Hopewell Junction, NY, and daughter Linda Ritter and former spouse Robert also of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren Stephanie and Ryan Richers, Kevin and Nicole Ferris, Robert and Leah Chasse, Rebecca and Joseph Bailey, Dana and Matt Tierney, and Nicole Ritter and Connor; great-grandchildren Charlie-Rose Richers, Daniella Ferris, Laine Chasse, Hayden Ferris, and Blair Chasse; and many nieces & nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews.
He is predeceased by his ex-wife Yolande and several brothers and sisters.
