The New York State Police in connection with the Orange County Child Protective Services arrested a Middletown man for sexual abuse

The Orange County Child Abuse Unit announces the arrest of Angel Martinez, from the city of Middletown.  The New York State Police working in conjunction with Orange County Child Protective Services conducted a joint investigation into allegations Martinez had engaged in sexual conduct with a child less than eleven years old.  The investigation led to the arrest of Martinez on Friday, May 18, 2022.  He was charged with Sexual Abuse 1st degree (a D Felony) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (a Misdemeanor).   MARTINEZ was subsequently transported to Orange County Jail for central arraignment.  MARTINEZ was arraigned at Orange County Jail before Honorable Judge BARBARA MENNITE from the Village of Highland Court.  MARTINEZ was remanded to OCJ in lieu of $ 50, 000 cash bail/$100,000 bond/partially secured bond $150,000 (10%) until his next appearance at the City of Middletown Court scheduled Monday, August 1, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
