June T. Gallagher, (AKA Hammer45), a 36-year resident of Dover Plains, NY, died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 28, 2022. She was 76 years old.
Born on August 11, 1945 in Danbury, CT, June was the daughter of Harry Grape and Ellen (Burdick) Toth. She was a 1963 graduate of Brewster High School.
On May 3, 1964, June married the love of her life, Samuel E. Gallagher in Ludingtonville, NY. Always wishing to keep busy helping her family, June worked in many different positions through the years including 18 years as a Saddler at Lightning G Tack Shop and 9 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant with the Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster, NY.
With such a creative mind, June always had a project underway. She was an artist in every sense of the word. Whether building something on her property, drawing, painting on canvas, or paper mâché, June would create beautiful work.
Besides her husband Samuel of 58 years, June is survived by her three children; Sam of San Clemente, CA, Dave of Cary, NC and his wife Rashti Ramphal, Sara and her significant other Christopher Doyle of Dover Plains, NY; her sister Jane Randazzo of Germantown, CT; her four grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle Gallagher, Alexandra Douglas and Amber Hoose and her two great grandchildren, Amaya and Jason.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 11AM at 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Friends may call at funeral home on Thursday morning at 10:30.
