Obituary, Edward Joseph Larkin

Edward Joseph Larkin, Jr., 68 a 35-year resident of Verbank, passed away after a brief illness at his home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Flushing, Queens on March 25, 1954, he was the son of late Edward J. Larkin and Evelyn S. (Cashara) Larkin.
He is survived by his wife, his pride and joy, Patricia (George) Larkin, his beautiful daughter Kristen (Larkin) Sigler his son-in-law and friend James Sigler, his much-loved grandson Dylan Sigler, his brother and partner in crime, William (Linda) Hendrickson of Redwood Valley, CA.
Ed was first and foremost a loving and caring presence in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues. He was known to some as “Steady Eddie” or “Corky”. He was always there for others, supportive, authentic, and generous. Ed had many loves; including dog training for almost 20 years at West Mountain Kennels at PMC where he worked as a professional dog-trainer – a true dog “whisper”. He had an amazing gift of understanding and knowing the needs of dogs and respected them on a level most don’t comprehend. His Harley Davidsons were his other loves, with the freedom to ride with his band of brothers, to travel, and to be a “freebird”.
He was also a fine woodworking craftsman, artist, and model of a noble man; ethical, genuine, honest and true. A family man first, a true friend, who will live eternally in our hearts and in our finest memories.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Pawling Mountain Club on Sunday, July 24 from 2pm – 6pm where a fun and very casual food and beverage will be served.
