PRESS RELEASE

The Orange County Child Abuse Unit announces the arrest of Cecilio Navarro, age 34 from the city of Middletown. The New York State Police working in conjunction with the Orange County Child Protective Services conducted a joint investigation into allegations that Navarro had engaged in sexual contact with a child less than 15 years old. The investigation led to the arrest of Navarro on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. He was charged with Rape 2nd degree, Rape 3rd degree, Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, all felonies. He was additionally charged with the misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Navarro was arraigned in the City of Newburgh Court and remanded to Orange County Jail.
