Obituary, Amanda Geaney-Tunney

Amanda Geaney-Tunney, 38, a 10-year resident of Pawling, passed away suddenly at her home Tuesday, June 7, 2022.

Daughter of Cornelius Geaney Sr and Janet (Freehill) Geaney of Pawling, Amanda was born in Manhattan on April 14, 1984.

Amanda was a friend to everyone she encountered in life. She provided constant guidance, emotional support and laughter to all. She dedicated her life to raising her children and always put others needs before her own.

She is survived by her husband Matthew, two daughters, Hailey and Charlotte, and their “dog sister” Luna; her parents, Cornelius and Janet of Pawling; her brother Cornelius Jr. his wife Eleanor, and nephews Harrison and Hudson of England; her sister Jayne Geaney-Pezzella, husband Stephen, and niece Penelope of Pawling; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Karen and Kevin Tunney of Patterson, NY; her sister-in-law Alyssa Tunney of White Plains; her brother-in-law Ryan Tunney of Patterson; Grandmother Rose Farrell of Long Island; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, June 11th from 2-8 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday at 12:30 PM at Christ Church on Quaker Hill. Burial will follow in Quaker Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Amanda may be made to St Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
