DANBURY MAN CHARGED BY DCSO WITH BURGLARY, AND SEXUAL ASSAULT IN BEEKMAN.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Wilson Oliveros-Romeros, age 32 of Danbury CT, in connection with an investigation into a burglary and sexual assault in the Town of Beekman.
On 5/21/22 Deputies responded to a home in the Town of Beekman for a reported home invasion and sexual assault. Sheriff’s Office Detectives also responded, and after a week-long investigation arrested Mr. Oliveros-Romeros on 5/27/22. At this time Mr. Oliveros-Romeros is accused of illegally entering the victim’s home with a weapon and sexually assaulting them. Mr. Oliveros-Romeros and the victim are known to each other and the attack was not a random act.
At this time Mr. Oliveros-Romeros has been charged with Predatory Sexual Assault, Rape 1st Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree, and Menacing 2nd Degree (all felonies except for the menacing charge). After being processed he was arraigned before the Town of Union Vale Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail with no bail.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, New York State Police, and Dutchess County Family Services.
As with any criminal case the charges described above are merely accusations and Mr. Oliveros-Romeros is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
