State Police in conjunction with Orange County Child Protective Services arrested a city of Newburgh man for sexual conduct with a minor.

PRESS RELEASE 

The Orange County Child Abuse Unit announces the arrest of Jairo Garcia, age 31 from the city of Newburgh.  The New York State Police working in conjunction with Orange County Child Protective Services conducted a joint investigation into allegations Garcia had engaged in a course of sexual conduct with a child less than thirteen years old.  The investigation led to the arrest of Garcia on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.   GARCIA was charged with Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child 2nd degree (a D Felony) and Endangering TStatehe Welfare of a Child (a Misdemeanor).  Garcia was subsequently arraigned in the Town of Goshen Court before the Honorable Judge Amanda Brady then remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.   An Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
