Kyle Castro from Pawling, Paul Kramarz from Pine Plains earn New York Army National Guard Promotions

LATHAM, NY (05/17/2022)– Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

Kyle Castro from Pawling , N.Y., and assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry Regiment, received a promotion to the rank of corporal on April 1, 2022.

Paul Kramarz from Pine Plains , N.Y., and assigned to the Division Signal Company, 42nd Division Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, received a promotion to the rank of captain on March 4, 2022.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.

These promotions additionally recognize the best qualified Soldiers and attract and retain the highest caliber Citizen Soldiers for a career in the New York Army National Guard.
