Obituary, Enes Pezzato

Enes Pezzato, 93, of Dover Plains passed away on May 7, 2022. Born on June 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Catherine Sostiso and Aristide Masiero, Sr.

On December 2, 1960, in Dover Plains she married Angelo “Red” Pezzato, who predeceased her on September 14, 2021. She graduated from Dover High School and was employed for 29 years in the Accounting Department/Business Office at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY retiring in 1976. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo and a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 1949 in Wingdale, NY.

Enes is survived by her daughters: Corinne Pezzato of NY, NY and Resa Paraszti and her husband John of Dover Plains, NY; grandchildren: Christopher and Drew Paraszti of Dover Plains, NY; sisters-in-law, Bina Masiero and Jean Masiero of Dover Plains, NY, Caroline Maniaci of Las Vegas, NV, Mary Ann Zani of Poughkeepsie, NY and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Enes was predeceased by her brothers: Raymond Masiero, Armando Masiero, Everesto Masiero and Aristide Masiero; sisters: Agnes Masiero, Rose Sartori, Claudia Sina, Jean Coe, Cecelia D’Angelo and sisters-in-law: Inez Spinella, Placida Mostachetti, and Ida Sgaggero.

Our mother was beautiful inside and out, always strong in her faith and always had a welcoming smile for everyone. She loved traveling with family and friends, weekend shopping trips with her sisters-in-law, spending time playing cards and games with family, doing puzzles and watching her favorite team the NY Yankees.

She was a caring wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family and loved time spent with them.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill Street, Dover Plains.
