Poughquag, New York – Carol A. Johnson (Axtmann) 76, Poughquag, NY, passed away May 6, 2022.
Carol was the daughter of the late Edward and Phyllis Axtmann of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was a graduate of Holy Trinity and Our Lady of Lourdes (’63) before earning her Bachelor’s degree at Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont (’67). She was a registered medical technician and completed her career as the Laboratory Manager at St. Francis Hospital.
Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward Johnson, son, Richard Johnson of Marlborough, MA and his spouse Julie, daughter, Rebecca Johnson of Pine Plains, NY and daughter, Colleen Breemen of Marlborough, MA and her spouse Eric; three adored grandchildren, Christopher Breemen, Madison Breemen and Jack Johnson; two brothers Edward and Philip Axtmann and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass to be held Friday, June 10 at 10:00 at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main Street, Poughkeepsie. A private, family burial will be held after.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; www.stjude.org.
