Obituary, Diane A. Muller

Dover Plains – Diane A. Muller, 67, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Milford, CT. Diane was a secretary at the Wassaic Developmental Center for 25 years retiring in 2006.

Born on November 21, 1954 in Fort Bragg, NC she was the daughter of Gladys (Johnson) Archambault of Dover Plains and the late Leo Archambault. Diane was a graduate of Dover High School class of 1973. On July 12, 1986, in Dover Plains, NY she married Roger J. Muller who survives at home.

Diane was a member and current secretary and treasurer of both the VFW Post # 5444 Auxiliary and the Dutchess County American Legion Auxiliary. Diane was the President of the American Legion Post # 1949 Auxiliary in Wingdale. She was the treasurer of the Wassaic Fire Company Auxiliary. Diane was also the secretary of the Stone Church Grange and a longtime member of Dover Lions Club. She was also a life member of the Bethlehem Fair Association in Bethlehem, CT.

In addition to her mother and husband, Diane is survived by a daughter, Melissa Copeland of Lititz, PA, and two sons, Barry Pellicciotti of Saugerties, NY and John Pellicciotti and his wife, Maureen, of Dover Plains. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Russell James and Leo Copeland and Katy, John S., Connor and Hayleigh Pellicciotti.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. American Legion Post #1949 Auxiliary and the Dutchess County American Legion Auxiliary will conduct services at 6:45 p.m., the VFW Post #5444 Auxiliary will follow at 7 p.m., the Wassaic Fire Company Auxiliary will follow at 7:15 p.m. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the funeral home with Rev.
