Obituary, Donna Marie Lagonigro Tartaglia

Donna Marie Lagonigro Tartaglia passed away on Friday, March 112022.

Donna was the daughter of the late William and Antoinette (Cinacola) Lagonigro.  She was born in Port Chester, New York on January 5, 1949, and spent in her youth in Port Chester. For the last 15 years, she was a resident of Pawling, New York, a town she loved.

Donna loved her grandchildren, Hana Rose and John Joseph more than anything and enjoyed playing endless games of Clue, Pokeno, Yahtzee and Bananagrams with them – even though she never won! She was an avid scrapbooker and took pride and joy in creating scrapbooks for every event of her children and grandchildren’s lives. She loved antiques and realized her dream and once opened her own store in Rhinebeck, New York, ‘Craftitiques’. When not with her family she could be found driving up and walking the various paths of Brimfield Antique Flea Market looking for something that was ‘perfect’, always for someone else.

Donna is survived by her three children and their spouses, Tara Marie McEvoy and John McEvoy, Paul Joseph Tartaglia and Samantha Tartaglia, Brandee Ann Sharp and TJ Sharp. Her love filled up every room – she was everyone’s Grandma T. Her ‘space’ will be hard to fill.

Donna loved to send handwritten notes and letters to those she cared about, signing them ‘Love and Light’. May she feel the Love and Light of those that love her here on Earth and those meeting her in Heaven once again.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, March 15th from 4-8 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling.  A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to support the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (themmf.org) or the Amyloidosis Foundation (amyloidosis.org).
