New Jersey Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of Child
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Herald J. Bodensiek, age 64 of Edison NJ, on 3/8/22 in connection with a month-long investigation into the sexual abuse of a child.
At this time Mr. Bodensiek is accused having sexual contact with a child, and has been charged with sexual abuse in the 1st degree (felony). After being processed Mr. Bodensiek was arraigned before the Town of Union Vale Court, and was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. No further details will be released about the case in order to protect the victim’s privacy, and at this time there doesn’t appear to be a danger to the community as a whole.
