Obituary, Harry N. Allen

Harry N. Allen, 71, a longtime resident of Wassaic, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. Allen was a Supervisor at The Craftmount Company in Holyoke, MA. He also worked at Taconic DDSO for eight years.

Born on April 6, 1950 in Malone, NY he was the son of the late George “Steamboat” and Mary Lechlear (Allen). Mr. Allen proudly served in the US Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. On July 24, 1976 in South Hadley, MA he married Charlene Michon who survives at home.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Allen is survived by a son, George Allen, and his wife, Aimee, of Holland, MA, and a daughter, Kimberly Strothers of Chicopee, MA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Nicole and Alissa Strothers, Paige and Jacob Funk and Dan and Cory Allen and a great-grandson, Oliver Allen. He was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl Allen and stepmother, Doris Allen.

The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice, Northern Dutchess Paramedics and the Wassaic Fire Department for the great care given to Mr. Allen and his family.
