Juvenile breaks into residence armed with knife in Dover

Dover, New York – On January 7, 2022, the New York State Police arrested a seventeen-year-old for Burglary in the 1st degree, a class B felony.

Troopers were dispatched at approximately 4:05 a.m. to a residence on Lime Kiln Road in the town of Dover for a report of a burglary in progress.  Once on scene, Troopers arrested the juvenile who was armed with a knife.  The armed juvenile broke into the residence but was detained by the homeowner until Troopers arrived.

The juvenile was arraigned before the Dutchess County Court Youth Part and sent to the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.
