Carmel, New York – On January 10, 2022, the New York State Police arrested William E. Mancusi, age 45, of Carmel, NY, for three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree, and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree, all class B felonies.

Following a fatal overdose in the town of Southeast investigation by the State Police determined Mancusi was selling heroin in the Carmel area.

Mancusi was arraigned before the town of Carmel Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail without bail, scheduled to reappear on January 24, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.
