Obituary, Paul Peter Garamone

Paul Peter Garamone was born in Brooklyn, New York at a time in our nation’s history when we were about to enter a World War.  Born on April 13th, 1940 to a Scottish Mother, Ethel Lamb and an Italian Father, Peter Paul he would grow into a young man who loved all things fast & mechanical.

Paul loved living on Harmony Road, a family farm, located in Pawling, New York with his true love & wife, Marjorie C, of 51 years.  They had one daughter, Christina Lynne.

He is best remembered for his sense of humor and clever wit, deep appreciation of the value of solid friendships and the rewards they reap.  He had boundless curiosity for knowledge and a deep love of history & culture.  He was never without a punchline or an anecdotal story to engage his listener.  He had charisma that would capture one’s spirit.

“There never was any heart truly great and generous, that was not also tender and compassionate.”-Robert Frost, a favorite poet.

The family wishes to have a Celebration for his life, to be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, Paul supports Habitat for Humanity and the Save Buzzards Bay Coalition where he and his family spent many cherished summers.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
