Dutchess County Probation Officers Complete Procedural Justice Training

Recently, every Dutchess County Probation Officer completed a one-day procedural justice training, which helps strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Topics included historical barriers to police legitimacy and the impact of implicit bias as well as the core principles of procedural justice: giving voice, showing respect, and displaying neutrality and trustworthiness.
