Town of Liberty- On December 16, 2021 at approximately 3:52 p.m. State Police from the Liberty barracks responded to 482 Stanton Corners Road in the town of Liberty for a report of a single vehicle rollover. Upon arrival troopers observed Mobile Medic and the Town of Liberty Fire Department on scene. Investigation revealed that a 1995 Dodge-Ram was traveling on Stanton Corners Road and failed to negotiate a curve causing the vehicle to leave the roadway on the north shoulder and overturned. The operator of the vehicle, later identified as Robert J. Lands, age 18 from Neversink was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigation is ongoing.
