Obituary

Vincent Joseph Doria, 80, a longtime resident of Wingdale, NY, formerly of Bronx, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at his home in Wingdale. Mr. Doria was a facilities maintainer for the MTA for 38 years retiring in 1999.
Born on April 21, 1941 in the Bronx, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Ann (Colleluori) Doria. Mr. Doria proudly served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1949 in Wingdale and the NYS Fraternal Order of Police, Motorcycle Unit. He was also a member of the Blue Knights in Bronx, NY and the Harlem Valley Car Club.

Mr. Doria is survived by a daughter, Michelle Ruvolo and her husband, Silvio, of Carmel, NY; two grandchildren, Cynthia Piekarski and her husband, James and Ann Ruvolo and a great granddaughter, Catherine Piekarski. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Henry S. Kaps of Hopewell Junction, NY; a niece, Karen Kaps and two nephews, Robert and Kevin Kaps. In addition to his parents, Mr. Doria was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Doria and a sister, Theresa Kaps.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY. Burial will be private.
