Obituary, Thomas J. Guerrera

Thomas J. Guerrera, 65, a resident of Wassaic, NY, formerly of South Salem, NY, died on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Born on November 5, 1956 in Somers Point, NJ, he was the son of the late Marion Thomas Guerrera and Jerry George Guerrera.

Tom was a designer in the shoe industry for many years, as well as the Owner and Principal Designer for TG Design Studio, LLC. Most recently he found joy and fulfillment working as the Director of the World Peace Sanctuary in Wassaic, NY, and hiking dogs for local residents. He was passionate in his volunteer work with at-risk and underprivileged youth as an Expressive/Creative Arts Facilitator and Creative Director for various programs, and proudly organized a Global Art Exchange and exhibition. A true artist and intellectual, Tom found beauty in everything and never stopped actively acquiring knowledge on his journey of personal and spiritual growth. His art was his passion and he loved using the treasures he found in nature to create his masterpieces. He loved all creatures big and small, good conversation, laughter and music.

His newest and most exciting adventure was as Papa Tom to his two grandchildren, Luca (2) and Adaline (7 months) Daniello
Furthermore, he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wendy Bell Guerrera, his three adoring daughters, Arielle Daniello and her husband, Christian, Valentine Guerrera and her husband, Jay Card, and Sophia Guerrera and her partner, Cameron LeBleu; two sisters, Kathleen Kelley and Jennifer Vasilakpoulous and a brother, Arthur Guerrera. A beloved uncle, he is also survived by 4 nieces and 7 nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother James Guerrera.
