Obituary, Charles Henry Pulver, Jr.

Charles Henry Pulver, Jr., 88, a longtime resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Pulver worked for John Clark Electric for 30 years and later owned and operated P & M Electric with his partner, James Muncey, established in 1989.

Born on April 14, 1933 in Pawling, NY, he was the son of the late Charles H. Pulver, Sr. and Minnie (Hyatt) Pulver. He was a graduate of Pawling High School class of 1949. Mr. Pulver proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. On September 17, 1955 in Pawling, NY he married Martha Ketchin who predeceased him on November 16, 2020.

Mr. Pulver was an avid horseshoe player and a member of the Pawling Softball League. He enjoyed bowling and tending to his lawn. He was also a member of the Dover First Baptist Church in Wingdale.

Mr. Pulver is survived by two daughters, Linda Pulver and her partner, Milinda Murphy of Wingdale, NY and Jeanne Muncey of Wingdale. He is also survived by a brother, Glenn Pulver and his wife, Rosalie, of Pawling, NY; a sister, Evelyn Sarels of Dover Plains and two grandsons, Martin and Mitchell Muncey.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Dover First Baptist Church, 6483 State Rt. 55, Wingdale, NY.
