The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Town of Poughkeepsie Police, Town of East Fishkill Police, and the New York State Police reports the arrest of Hung P. Hoang (age 48 of Wappinger) on 11/16/21 for possession of stolen property.
The arrest comes as the result of the above agencies working together during a lengthy investigation into the theft of property from various locations throughout Dutchess County. On 11/16/21 a search warrant was executed at Mr. Hoang’s residence after which suspected stolen property consisting of enclosed trailers, power equipment, tractors, golf carts, and UTVs was located and secured.
At this time Mr. Hoang has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the 4th degree, which is a felony, and after being processed he was released to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on 11/24/21.
The investigation is continuing and further charges are possible at a later time. The charge described above is merely an accusation and Mr. Hoang is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. More information may be released as it becomes available.
