Obituary

Alice Towle, 93, of Palm Harbor, FL and formerly of Wingdale, NY passed away on November 8, 2021.

Born April 26, 1928 to Dante and Maria Vetovalli Mostachetti, she attended Dover schools. On January 6, 1949 she wed Alfred Towle to whom she was married for 65 years.

Alice worked as a nursing assistant at Harlem Valley Hospital in Wingdale until her retirement in 1983.
She was an avid golfer and belonged to Harlem Valley Golf Club as well as the Lake Tarpon ladies golf league. She also loved playing shuffleboard with the Lake Tarpon Shuffleboard Club and enjoyed an active social life at Lake Tarpon Village She was a life member of the Masiero-Winship ladies auxiliary in Wingdale.

Alice leaves behind her three children, Linda (Peter) Monti of Laurel, MD; Deborah Hardy of Somers, CT and Edward (Karen) Towle of Dunedin, FL.Six grandchildren; Tanya Holmes, Peter Monti, Jessica Talaga, Jillian Connors, Christopher Hardy and Vanessa Mullin as well as fifteen loved great-grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Alice was predeceased by two sisters, Ida Fasanella and Priscilla Mostachetti and four brothers, Bert, Armando, Leo and Bruno Mostachetti.

Alice’s family would like to deeply thank the wonderful staff and management at Harbor Chase Assisted Living in Palm Harbor where she resided for the past 18 months.
