State Police and County Fire Investigation Division investigating explosion in Pine Plains

PRESS RELEASE

Pine Plains, New York – On October 13, 2021, at approximately 7:34 p.m., the State Police were dispatched to a house explosion on Hoffman Street in the town of Pine Plains.

Pine Plains Police Department and multiple local fire departments arrived on scene to render aid.  The Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division, and the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control also responded to assist with the investigation.

Kim Dunn, age 62, was pulled from the wreckage by a neighbor and a responding fireman.  Dunn was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lawrence Pariseau, age 61, was unfortunately located deceased within the remaining structure.

This investigation remains ongoing.
