Obituary

Bernard W. Kubisek, 85, a longtime resident of Bethel, CT formerly of Danbury, CT, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at his home in Bethel surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Kubisek was a carpenter for many years in a partnership of Woodin & Kubisek Builders in Bethel, CT.

Born on January 12, 1936 in Danbury, CT, he was the son of the late Paul and Myrtle (Whitlock) Kubisek. On June 2, 1956 in Danbury he married Barbara (Woodin) Kubisek ,having been happily married for 65 years before his passing. Mr. Kubisek enjoyed horseback riding and trout fishing with his family. He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Vermont creating many lasting family memories.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Kubisek is survived by a son, Bruce (Naomi )Kubisek , of Bethel, CT. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lindsey & Kyle Fish , Lindsey Aravena, Juan Henao, Carly Aravena and Willy Galvin.

He is also survived by his siblings, Janet ( Bill) Reynolds, Loretta (Jack) McLaughlin, Dennis Kubisek, Thomas Kubisek, and sister in law Judy Kubisek. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond Kubisek and daughter in law Carolyn Kubisek. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains.
