Orange County- October 10, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. New York State Police have responded to State Route 218 in the town of Cornwall for a report of a downed helicopter. State police confirm that a helicopter crashed near Storm King Mountain near State Route 218. One person is deceased at the scene. State police are assisted at the scene by State Fire, local fire departments and forest rangers.
