Obituary

Kathleen Patricia Wrobel, 79, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Kathleen was a school bus matron in New York City. She enjoyed her experience working with children and was grateful that many coworkers became lifelong friends.

Born on September 10, 1942 in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Cosgrove) Morrisey. On October 5, 1963 in Woodside, NY, she married Kenneth Wrobel, Sr. and enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Mrs. Wrobel was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains.

In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. Wrobel is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Thomas (Lance) and two sons, Kenneth Wrobel, Jr., (Karen) and Michael Wrobel (Mariela). She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jackson, Lucas, Carter, Daniella, Michael and Ryan Wrobel and Zara Thomas.

Kathleen was a thoughtful and charitable person. If she learned that family, friends or even the friend of a friend was ill, she would send many cards. She was charitable to organizations and with her time. Kathleen had great faith in God and encouraged her children and grandchildren to be thankful for everything. In addition to being thankful for her immediate family, she was also grateful and proud of her large extended family. Kathleen had many nieces and nephews and enjoyed all their cards, emails, and visits.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY.
