Obituary, Peter “Pete” A. Martucci

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Peter “Pete” A. Martucci, age 69, on September 17, 2021.

Pete was born on July 8, 1952, in the Bronx, NY to Anthony and Elanor (LaCavalla) Martucci. He was happily married to his wife, Roseanne, for 44 years and they were blessed with two sons and two grandsons.

Pete earned a living in the Carting industry, working with the Teamsters Local 456 and 282 unions, but what he loved most outside of his family and friends was the game of baseball. His passion for the game is what led him to coach and develop children from Putnam, Westchester, and Dutchess into young athletes. He truly enjoyed watching his two grandchildren compete on the baseball field and was proud to coach several championship teams in Patterson and Pawling. Pete’s passion for the game will live on in everyone who knew and loved him.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife, Roseanne, and his devoted sons Stephen and Nicholas. His grandchildren, Logan and Carter Martucci also survive him.

All services to celebrate Pete’s life will be private and for immediate family only. It was Pete’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
