The New York State Police are investigating the death of an inmate that occurred at the Fishkill Correctional Facility.
On April 21, 2015 at approximately 11:47 p.m., the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision at Fishkill contacted the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation to report the death of 30-year old inmate Samuel D. Harrell. The circumstances regarding the death are under investigation.
An autopsy was performed. However, the cause of death remains undetermined pending toxicology.
