Town of Deerpark (Orange County)- On September 12, 2021, at approximately 3 p.m., state police responded to a residence on SR-209 in the town of Deerpark for a domestic incident. Prior to the troopers arriving at the residence, the subject fled the area and ran into the woods. Troopers began a search of the subject. Troopers located the subject in the woods near the area of 1721SR 209. Upon being located, the subject began to shoot at troopers. Troopers returned fire striking the subject. He was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital. The troopers were not injured in the incident.
