Obituary

JoAnn LaManna of Malabar, FL, formerly of Dover Plains, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2021, after a brief illness. Born January 20, 1943 in the Bronx, she married Robert LaManna on August 6, 1960 and devoted her life to him for over 44 years until his passing in 2004. She was his everything and he hers. If you knew them, you understood the extent of her complete dedication and the love they shared.

JoAnn is survived by her children: Penny Dye (Bob), of Dover Plains, Robert LaManna Jr. of West Melbourne, FL, JoAnn Quinn (Francis) of Wingdale and James LaManna (Sherry) of Palm Bay.

She will forever be in the hearts of grandchildren: Stefanie Barto (Shawn), Jonathan Dye, Courtney Moore (Kevin) and Thomas Dye all of Dover Plains, Amanda Kelly (Michael) of W. Melbourne, FL, Carrie Moore of W. Melbourne, FL, Robert LaManna III of TN, Justin Quinn (Kristy) of Wingdale, Nicholas Quinn of Kent, CT, Joseph LaManna (Christy) of Palm Bay, FL and Jessica LaManna of Palm Bay, FL.

She leaves great grandchildren: Aubrey, Parker, Zoey, Mila, Jax, Emma, Olivia, Hayden, Mason & Riley. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Ward (Barbara) of NC, her special brothers & sisters in law, Terry & Lolly LaManna, Carl and Nancy LaManna and many nieces and nephews with fond and funny memories of her threats growing up. She was recently predeceased by great granddaughter, Myla.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Dover Plains.
