State police arrest a Kingston man on gun charges

PRESS RELEASE
On August 26, 2021, The New York State Police in Middletown arrested Jaden Rogers, Age 18, of Kingston, NY, for Criminal Possession of Weapon Second Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Fourth Degree, both felonies.
Rogers was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on Flatbush Avenue in the city of Kingston stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation. A search of the vehicle yielded a .380 caliber, Bersa Thunder handgun. The investigation proved that the handgun belonged to Rogers.
Further investigation revealed that the handgun was reported stolen to the Myrsa Police Department in the State of Georgia.
Rogers was processed and arraigned in the City of Kingston. He was remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $20,000 cash bail, $100,000 Bond.
