Obituary
Born on April 5, 1936 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Lisbeth (Daniels) Mielke. On March 23, 1957 in the Bronx, she married Joseph Charles Williams, Sr. who predeceased her on January 7, 1997. In 2001, she married Robert Collins who predeceased her in 2011.
Mrs. Williams was a dedicated volunteer in both New York and Florida. She often helped others at local hospitals, nursing homes and soup kitchens.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a son, David Williams and his wife, Maritza, of Raleigh, NC and three daughters, Diane Williams of Dover Plains, Lynda Williams of Cross River, NY and Catherine Williams-Bracone of Dover Plains. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Mielke of Uxbridge, MA and Edward Mielke of O’Fallon, IL; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains.
