Obituary

Marjorie E. Green, 100, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her home in Dover Plains surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Green was an attendant at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY for 25 years retiring in 1975.

Born on February 28, 1921 in Dover Plains, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry N. and Elizabeth (Duell) Tabor. On February 11, 1942 in Pleasant Valley, NY she married Raymond (Seymour) Green who predeceased her on April 27, 1971.

Marjorie loved doing for her family, gardening, knitting socks for family and friends, Foxwood Bingo and made the best pies. She will be greatly missed.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Laura Franks of Dover Plains, NY; three grandsons, Raymond (Christine) Franks of Warren, CT; Steven (Bonnie) Franks of Dover Plains, NY and Justin (Kathleen) Franks of Amenia, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Amanda (Kyle) Basting; Jesse (Lauren) Franks; Emma Franks, Matthew Franks, Kara Franks and Luke Franks and two great great grandsons, Benjamin Basting and Nolan Basting and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by a brother, Harry A. Tabor, her sister, Viola (Jane) Lasher and her son-in-law, Raymond Franks.

Private graveside services and burial will take place at South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale. NY
