FIREARMS ARREST:
On 07/20/2021 at 1106hrs, members of the Connecticut State Police responded to a residence on RT 55 West in Sherman for the complaint of roaming dogs. Upon arrival, the accused, Richard A Genalski (DOB 07/02/1945) of 57 Route 55 West – Sherman, was located on the property retrieving his roaming dogs. Genalski was found to be in possession of dangerous weapons and a loaded firearm which were in his vehicle. Genalski was placed under arrest and charged with violation of C.G.S. 53-205 – Possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle, 29-38 Illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, and 22-364(a) Permitting dogs to roam. Genalski was issued a $50,000 Surety Bond and is set to appear at Danbury Court on 07/21/2021 at 0900hrs. CFS #2100293566
