Jenny Lauren Mersand, 39, passed away at her home in Poughkeepsie, NY on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
Born in Poughkeepsie on September 29, 1981, she was the daughter of Barry Mersand of Poughquag, NY and the late Charlene (Handschy) Mersand.
Jenny received her Associate’s Degree at Dutchess Community College and went on to attend classes at Vassar and Marist Colleges.
Jenny was well known for her “encyclopedic knowledge, dictionary vocabulary, and lightening speed conversation”. She enjoyed spending time with her niece and sister-in-law, watching Anime, and “all things sparkly”.
In addition to her father, she is survived by two brothers, Frank in Florida and Alexander in Wassaic, NY; her beloved niece, Anastasia, and sister-in-law, Shannon Mersand, also of Wassaic; aunts Patricia Handschy of Tallahassee, FL and Christine Mersand of Pawling; an uncle, Mark Handschy (and Renee Williams) of Clarksville, VA; and cousins Rebecca Mersand of Rockville, MD and Michael Mersand of Pawling.
