Congressman Delgado visits Pawling Library

United States Representative Anthony Delgado of New York’s 19th Congressional District dropped by the Pawling Library on July 7th to congratulate everyone at the library, as well as the Pawling community on the celebration of the Library’s Centennial.  A Centennial proclamation was presented to Library Director, Brian Avery.

Congressman Delgado received a tour of the library, asked about the Centennial fundraising and the Community Development Block Grant that will help to fund two new ADA compliant lavatories at the library, and talked to library trustees Nick Robertshaw, Wanda Rusiecki, and Karen Franco about the value of libraries to their communities.  Director Avery shared, “We are grateful that Congressman Delgado made the time to visit our library and talk to us about how we serve our community. Congressman Delgado is a supporter of libraries, so today was a great opportunity for him to get acquainted with the Pawling Library and the work we are doing.”
