Wassaic – Douglas Andrew Sullivan, 70, a longtime resident of Wassaic, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT.
Born on September 5, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Alphonse E. Sullivan and Emma S. Christiansen Velasco. Doug was a member of the Dover Cub and Boy Scouts, Stone Church Grange and Dutchess County ARC.
Doug is survived by a sister, Emma Jaromin and her husband, James, of Wassaic, NY with whom Doug made his home with and two brothers, Walter Sullivan and his wife, Darlene, of Albion, NY and Victor Velasco, Jr. and his wife, Danny of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, Doug is predeceased by his step-father, Victor J. Velasco, Sr. and a sister, Judith Burgess.
