Obituary, Jeanne Eliades

Jeanne Eliades, 65, a 16-year resident of Hopewell Junction, NY, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.
Previously of Carmel, NY and New City, NY, she was born in New York City on December 26, 1955 to the late James G. and Evelyn (Scheffel) McDonald.  Jeanne was a wine executive for Pernod Ricard, an alcoholic beverage producer in Paris France.  It was there she met her future husband, Steven Eliades; they were married May 15, 2005 in Wycoff, NJ.
Jeanne was an avid reader who loved to travel.  She “enjoyed life to the fullest” and was always happy; “everybody loved her”.  She had a “huge heart and a good soul”.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Steven, of Hopewell; two brothers, Gregory McDonald and wife, Margo, of Summerfield, FL and Jeffery McDonald and wife, Doreen, of Galilee, PA; her sister Laurie Komarof and husband, Elliot, of Harrisburg, PA; 17 nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Josie, and cats, Tuna and Bonnie.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, June 25th at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY from 3-6 PM; a funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 5:30 PM.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
