Obituary

Annita Cardillo, 96, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her four daughters on Monday, June 7, 2021 at her home in Dover Plains.

Born on August 3, 1924 in Italy she was the daughter of the late Vito and Filomena (Fernicola) Colacchio. On April 21, 1946 in Italy she married Pasquale Cardillo who predeceased her on March 2, 1999.

Mrs. Cardillo is survived by her four daughters, Cathy Cardillo-Lehman and her companion, Jose Olmedo, of Dover Plains, Mary Raia and her husband, Edward, of Dover Plains, Lena Gleman and her husband, Terrance, of Dover Plains and Filomena Marchione and her husband, Robert, of Newburgh, NY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cardillo was predeceased by a son, Felix Cardillo; four sisters, Antonietta, Rose, Catherine and Angela and a brother, Giuseppe.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 62 Mill St., Dover Plains, NY with Fr. Sibi Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
