Poughkeepsie, New York – On June 5, 2021, the New York State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) in conjunction with the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested Jemadar A. Thrasher, age 32, of New York, NY, for three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree with intent to sell, and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree, all class B felonies.

Subsequent to an investigation Thrasher was found to possess approximately 3.2 grams of heroin and fentanyl.  Thrasher was arrested with the assistance of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.

Thrasher was released to the custody of the Dutchess County Jail and awaits arraignment by the Dutchess County Court.
