Paula Banks Ward, 64, passed away at her home in Pawling, NY on Thursday, May 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Mount Vernon, NY on April 22, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Haywood and Ethel (Reid) Banks. She married Reginald Ward in Mount Vernon on July 26, 1980; he survives at home. Paula worked as a guidance counselor at Mildred E. Strang Middle School in Yorktowne Heights, NY and loved sewing and reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Bradford and Evan, both of Pawling; her brother Bruce Banks of New Jersey; her faithful canine companion, Marcus; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY Friday, June 4th from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:30 PM Friday evening.
