Dover Plains – John Herbert Thorne Sr Of Dover Plains At the age of 58 passed away Friday April 17, 2015. Born in Vassar Brothers Hospital on February 3,1957. He was the son of Anna Josephine Nicholson and Samuel Lester Thorne. He loved to be outside and spend time with his family. He also loved hunting and fishing. He was a very giving person with a huge heart.
John is survived by two daughters Christina Monty and husband Michael Monty, April Thorne. Also three sons John Thorne Jr., David Thorne and Timothy Thorne. He is survived by six brothers Samuel Thorne II his wife Virgina, Joesph Thorne, Arthur Adams and partner Helena, Richard Adams and wife Eunice,William Thorne, and Robert Thorne and one sister Theresa Alves. One Aunt Betty Jones And husband James. He has several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Also seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Anna and his Father Samuel And a brother Charles Thorne. He was a loving Husband, Father Uncle, and Brother.
John’s Funeral Services will be on Saturday April 25, 2015 at 11am at Valley Bible Fellowship Church 1875 Clove Road, LaGrangeville. Interment will be private. RIP Papa Bear Love You Always.
