George Oscar Hoose, 89, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Columbus Hospital LTACH in Newark, NJ. Mr. Hoose was a farmer at the Sam Hall Farm in Dover Plains, NY.
Born on April 6, 1931 in Dover Plains, NY, he was the son of the late Percy and Grace (Rowe) Hoose. His wife, Edna Metcalf predeceased him.
Mr. Hoose is survived by five sons, Anthony Hoose of Wappingers Falls, NY, Michael Hoose of Dover Plains, NY, Timothy Hoose of Sharon, CT and Joseph and Christopher Hoose both of Millbrook, NY. He is also survived by four brothers, John, Charles, Roger and Robert Hoose and four sisters, Lillian, Ruth, Grace and Katherine. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Hoose was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Donald and Arthur and two sisters, Rosemary and Caroline.
